It’s cold, wet and grey outside. The leaves on the trees are slowly changing color and the other day I nearly got smacked on the head by a falling chestnut. But o how I do love the smell of autumn; it’s the smell of change.
As humans, we love to moan. But we also tend to leave out the bad stuff when we look back, making everything look a bit better then it actually was. It’s normal and I was waiting for this to happen. We had our last communal class yesterday, all that rests of class work are the electives in November. After all the moaning about the 8 a.m. starts, the long hours in class, the eternal cases to read…now it has come to an end. And no less than 5 minutes after class I heard the first “I can’t believe it’s over, time is going so fast!”.
We’ve been in the middle of a whirlwind, caught up in the daily grind, that we have missed the fact that we have less then 2 months to go. I think this is now slowly starting to sink in; before you know it this year will be over. Which is why my flat mate and I have decided to try to have fun every day. We still have a lot of hard work ahead of us, with the ICP just around the corner, but that’s all the more reason to make the most out of the last few months.
The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change
