Whether in Strategy, Marketing or GPE classes, India and China were the two of the most mentioned countries during the past year. For most of us both countries, though discussed frequently, stayed a kind of enigma as we had never visited there before. In our ICP team, we were more than lucky to have a project involving these two countries. After aligning the scope and developing the project plan with our client, our project started in the China and India embassies, the first door into their world and teaching a lot about their culture and way of working. Spending two weeks in India and China, going through the customs, using the local transportation, meeting with local companies, and having a lot of conversations about the countries and different industries, have taught us a lot about how each country is managing its development trajectory and is looking into its future. We also feel now we can really relate to the macro and micro discussions we had with Professor Boscheck on the growth of India and China. I could not think of a better example for IMDs motto: Real world, Real learning!
