This week, a confluence of various factors, including my Kapstone topic and family matters, amongst others, led to my decision to spend the 1-week break from ICP in Singapore. As I pen this blog, it's Saturday night and I'm on transit at Doha Airport. I might not quite be physically back in Asia yet but being greeted by balmy 32-degree weather when I stepped off the plane is one step closer to my visit home.
Spending the year in Europe has been a wonderful gift and I am not fully ready to bid Europe goodbye forever either at the end of the MBA. To me, Europe is about personal freedom, incredible amount of history and culture, and unparalleled natural beauty. At the same time, Asia is about friends, family, food, and a good lifestyle that is getting better and still easy on the wallet. It's great to have the opportunity to have the best of both worlds. And meanwhile, I am looking forward to satisfying my pent-up cravings for Japanese ramen, chili crab and mee siam etc!
Cheers,
Hwei-Yi
