Last night I had a few friends over for dinner. We were seven people, from seven different countries: Dutch, German, American, Malaysian, Indian (2x) and Pilipino. The American cooked a Burmese curry, the Dutch cooked Indian Channa Marsala and the Malaysian cooked Malaysian chicken. We drank Italian Limoncello, Scottish whiskey and French and Swiss wine. We shared stories from our recent trips to China, Australia, France, Poland, Czech Republic and Italy. Now if that’s not multiculturalism at its best I don’t know what is!
Now if only I could get the food smell out of the apartment….
