Katrin Siebenbürger Hacki was one of the 18 alumni to give up their precious Saturday for the first of our two traditional on-campus Simulated Interview days. MBAs had a chance to practice their sector specific interviewing skills and get feedback from alumni who have successfully been through the process for either Industry, Consulting or Finance. Friday’s company visits gave the MBAs the chance to discover more about the culture of some of our recruiters, namely Werfen, McKinsey & Company, Honeywell, Google and Siemens and potential opportunities within those companies for a future career.
It also gave the MBA Office the chance to welcome back many friendly faces from across the years, as the companies brought with them alumni who could share their personal insights about how their careers have developed since graduating from IMD and the roles they currently play. So, while the MBAs benefit on the career side, we, the MBA team, also benefit by being able to catch up, and enjoy a kind of pride as we see how these people we got to know so well have developed, and hear about what they’ve achieved and how their families have grown.

A monastery in Italy hosted the MBAs for part of the Leadership stream: a time for self reflection and an opportunity to explore and understand how their moral compass impacts decisions made both in their personal and professional life.
Exams are over and participants headed off to Morzine, France for a couple of days to celebrate as a class, recharge and prepare for the next stage of the program.
As Mo mentioned in his last blog, the pace doesn’t let up for the MBAs, and the pressure is now on as they prepare for their second round of exams and wrap up classes such as Finance with Professor Nuno Fernandes and Strategy with Professor Misiek Piskorski. Here are a couple of pictures, taken as per tradition on the last day of these classes.
After the exams came a welcome long weekend for the Easter break, launched by lunch on campus with partners and families as well as an Easter Egg hunt for the children.
