It’s been almost a month since the Future Lab module ended, and I must admit I still haven’t gotten over our time in Singapore. The module was incredibly exciting; it was my first time in Asia, and it undoubtedly left a lasting impression and a renewed sense of excitement for the future ahead, along with that familiar feeling of wanting more.
The learning experience and immersion in a country that combines cutting-edge technology with sustainable development were eye-opening and sparked countless ideas for when I return to work. I’d like to give special recognition to Mark Greeven, who welcomed us during the final week of the module. He answered challenging questions with honesty and clarity, clearly drawing from his deep experience with the Asian market. He broke several paradigms and assumptions I had about this region, which was unfamiliar to me before.
We also had a new project group for the module, and I’m immensely grateful for the exchange we had throughout the month. During the second week, when we had the bootcamp, it was incredible to work alongside such collaborative, inspiring individuals with clear leadership qualities – always bringing diverse experiences and perspectives to enrich our discussions and final deliverables.

Beyond the opportunity to dive into topics like technology, ecosystems, geopolitics, and the future of work, we also had time to explore the country. The most iconic tourist spots were truly breathtaking, and it was amazing to see how nature blends seamlessly with modernity to improve the quality of life for the population.

After the unforgettable trip to Singapore, we entered our summer break, and I took the opportunity to visit my hometown, São Paulo. I missed my boyfriend, my family, my friends, and my dog, Mina. I took this precious time to reconnect with them, meet my newborn niece (born in May), and visit some of my favorite places in the city.

Now I’m back in Lausanne, feeling reenergized and excited for the start of the electives and everything else the rest of the year will bring. With new friendships, deeper insights, and fresh inspiration, I’m ready for whatever comes next.
