When my wife and I made the move to Lausanne in 2023 so she could pursue her dream job, we were uncertain about what the future might hold. Having focused on project management and real estate consulting for a decade, I wanted to broaden my career horizons and discover how to best integrate into the European market.
I was attracted to IMD by its hands-on, global curriculum, sustainability, future-focused mindset, and tailored program. IMD understands that each person’s leadership style can and should be unique to their strengths and empowers our MBA class with the tools and environment to explore how we can maximize our unique impact.

It’s not atypical to immediately be able to apply our learning in the classroom to meaningful interactions with CEOs and foreign dignitaries. However, we grow as leaders when we face adversity and learn how to navigate making difficult decisions. The program is intentionally intense, but sometimes the intensity and high expectations lead to growing pains and setbacks.
Everyone needs a support system at times like these, and the strength and heart of IMD is its community. Even before being accepted, I was amazed at how open alumni and current MBAs were to speak with prospective students. Now as an MBA student, I understand the value of IMD’s community first-hand. From early morning training sessions with an Olympic champion rower to cracking business cases, and everything in between, the community of our cohort is unlike anything I’ve experienced before.

I’m honored and humbled to be a part of the 2025 IMD MBA class. They are some of the most supportive, accomplished, and interesting people I have met, and they push me to be the best version of myself every day. I only hope that I can pay forward as much as they give.

In a year of big changes, perhaps the biggest change in my life is yet to come. By the end of this week, I will be a father. I aspire to leverage everything that IMD offers to maximize the positive impact I can have on the world my daughter will inherit.
At a time when some world leaders are intent on tearing down the bridges that connect us, I want to prove that we can accomplish more when we work together. Uncertainty brings opportunity. It is up to us to stand by our values, understand that a diversity of opinions makes our teams stronger, and embody the change we want to see in the world.
