As I reflect on my MBA journey so far, it’s hard to believe that we’re more than halfway through the program. Our recent trip to Silicon Valley was a whirlwind of inspiration and learning, and visiting several startups let us see firsthand the innovative spirit that drives the tech industry.
A highlight for me was exploring the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), where we were amazed by the cutting-edge research and technology in action. Interactions with venture capitalists provided us with valuable perspectives on funding and scaling new ventures in the energy, agriculture, and healthcare industries.
One of the most memorable experiences was hosting more than 30 of my colleagues at my home in the Bay Area for a relaxing house party. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with classmates outside of the academic environment and build lasting friendships.
With only a few months left at IMD, a sense of nostalgia and urgency is beginning to set in. Our schedule has eased up slightly, allowing us time to focus on career events on campus. These events are critical as we prepare to transition from students to professionals, and I am excited about the opportunities they will bring.
Looking ahead, the electives in August offer a chance to deepen our knowledge in specific areas of interest. In September, we have another exciting discovery expedition planned, with options to visit either Dubai or Buenos Aires. Following that, the much-anticipated International Consulting Project in October will provide a real-world opportunity to apply our skills.
Stay tuned for my next blog, where I’ll share insights from the Dubai Discovery expedition and our recruitment activities on campus. This journey has been incredible so far, and I am eager to see what the remaining months will bring.
