Through my roles in supply chain and trade marketing, I have consistently applied my STEM foundation to drive growth and sustainable outcomes. From leading Lean Six Sigma projects that enhanced operational efficiency to applying analytical thinking to trade marketing execution strategies, each experience has reinforced my belief that STEM leadership is a powerful force for change – not just in processes, but in people.

To amplify my impact, I came to realize that technical skills alone aren’t enough. Leadership today demands much more: emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to bring people along with you. This realization was a major factor in my decision to join the IMD MBA program – an environment where I could grow not just as a professional, but as a person.
For instance, last week I had the opportunity to participate in the Mini Leadership Lab ‘Designing Your Success’, led by Professor Zhike Lei. It was one of those rare sessions that compel you to pause and reflect deeply. For the first time in a while, I gave myself the space to step back from outcomes and truly consider what success means – to me, not just to the world. It pushed me to ask: What do I truly value? How do I want to measure my life?

Our coaching sessions have further supported this reflection, allowing me to dive deep into my values, motivations, and blind spots. A good leader must have strong self-awareness because understanding oneself is the foundation for understanding, inspiring, and effectively leading others. The PDE is helping me transition from technical confidence to personal clarity.
I am truly honored and deeply grateful to have been awarded the Hilti Scholarship, which recognizes and supports individuals with a background in STEM who aspire to become future business leaders. This scholarship is more than just financial support – it has also been a powerful confidence boost at the beginning of my transformative journey at IMD. Hilti’s commitment to developing leaders from STEM backgrounds is inspiring and impactful, and I am proud to be part of this mission.
Today, I feel more equipped than ever to drive meaningful impact. I look forward to using my voice, my skills, and my leadership to help build a future that is not only prosperous – but inclusive, sustainable, and full of opportunity for all.
