The end of Module 4 marks the conclusion of yet another transformative chapter in the MBA journey. This past week was filled with enriching experiences and thought-provoking challenges that allowed us to apply our knowledge, reflect on our growth, and prepare for what lies ahead.
In our Business & Society class, we participated in an immersive exercise that brought to life the nuanced differences between collaboration, cooperation, and competition. The activity highlighted the importance of shifting away from a purely competitive mindset and embracing a more collaborative approach, particularly when addressing global challenges like sustainability and environmental stewardship. These issues are deeply interconnected and affect ecosystems as a whole. You may succeed individually, but if the system fails, everyone loses. It was a powerful reminder that achieving common goals often requires mutual alignment and shared responsibility.

Another highlight of the week was the Integrative Exercise, which served as a tool to consolidate learning from the modules, especially in areas like accounting and finance. On the first day, we worked independently, diving into annual reports and financial statements to analyze key metrics. This hands-on experience allowed us to apply theoretical frameworks in a real-world context. On the second day, we collaborated within our Module 4 teams, bringing together diverse skill sets and backgrounds. It was fascinating to see how each person’s strengths contributed to our group’s overall performance. The experience emphasized the value of balance, open communication, and trust in achieving a collective outcome.
We also took a meaningful step in our leadership development journey through a group coaching session. This session offered a safe space to reflect on the interpersonal dynamics we encountered in our startup group. It felt like the closing of a chapter for our team but also opened the door to personal growth. Each of us gained valuable insights into how we can show up more effectively in future group settings.

Now, we’re gearing up to start Module 5 – the Future Lab in Singapore. I’m incredibly excited to explore a new country and continent for the first time. With a packed schedule of sessions and company visits, I know this experience will further expand my perspective. I’m also looking forward to working with a new team and continuing this exciting journey of growth.
