I was born in Guildford, UK, to an English mother and a Portuguese father, and by the time I was a teenager, I’d lived in Paris and then Switzerland. Despite all these moves, Switzerland became the place I truly call home.
A big turning point for me was moving from France to Switzerland. It changed my entire outlook on education and life, turning school from something I struggled with into something I genuinely enjoyed. Without that move, my path might have been very different.

Before IMD, I was lucky enough to meet a family friend who became a Chief Digitalization Officer in the pharma world. He showed me that you don’t need a technical degree to make a significant impact in tech, and that really resonated with me. My passion for AI and emerging technologies was sparked even earlier, when I read a book called Genesis by Bernard Beckett. All these influences eventually led me to NVIDIA – and then to IMD, where I could shape my vision and take the next big step.

Now, I’m working in Seoul at Samsung as a Global Strategy Consultant. The MBA in 2023 played a huge role in getting me here, not just because of the education, but because of the doors it opened. Funnily enough, I only applied to one consulting role, and here I am! It’s been challenging and rewarding, and I’m learning skills that I know will stick with me for life.

Looking back on my time at IMD, I honestly wouldn’t change much. Perhaps I would have made more of an effort to get to know even more people on a deeper level. The friendships and connections are such a huge part of the experience, and they continue to mean so much to me.

To anyone considering IMD, I’d say this: it’s a fantastic step in your journey, but it’s just one step. The real magic happens in the years that follow, as you continue to grow and evolve. Embrace the adventure, and enjoy every moment along the way.
